Featured below are several interesting boutique projects that have the Designfocus design integrity. Each have their own unique story. While the Paspaley Commercial Lobby is not retail - per se, it was a unique project to restore the lobby - to “sell” it’s history to new tenants and to engage with the existing tenants during the process.

Turner Allen Gentlemen’s Boutique MLC Centre - Lend Lease asked Peter Rektor to work with the owner, to design and document his new store. Concept and design by Peter Rektor, Designfocus

di Croco Boutique Double Bay - featuring a superb collection of luxury products made from Australian Saltwater Crocodile skins, sourced from licensed farms. Boutique design by Peter Rektor, Designfocus.

Bar Zupano’s location was a focal point from the Martin Place Entry. Lend Lease wanted Designfocus to create an outstanding design for the the owner. This lively, funky bar ticked everyone’s boxes. Concept and design by Peter Rektor, Designfocus.

The space allocated to the owner was under the escalators in the MLC Centre. Ccino’s Coffee Bar has a sense of quality and theatre and quickly became the morning “pop-in” for that starter coffee. Concept and design by Peter Rektor, Designfocus.

Refurbishment of Paspaley Commercial Lobby, Martin Place Sydney. Restoration of original marble flooring, walls, decorative half-columns, entry pediment and staircase. The original timber and brasswork of the pair of entry doors, were also restored. The original “bird-cage” lift that still services the building, was given an elegant makeover. New faux-marble framed panels and concealed LED lighting were installed above the marble walls.

Design elements by Peter Rektor. Project Management and Artisan Team Co-ordination by Robyn Trelore, Designfocus.
