A new entity combining the creative minds of Chris Bosse and Peter Rektor

LAVA is a network practice with offices in Berlin, Stuttgart, Vietnam and Sydney.

LAVA is the creative acronym for “LAboratory for Visionary Architecture” founded in 2007 by Chris Bosse, Tobias Wallisser - Berlin and Alexander Rieck - Stuttgart. Chris is based in Sydney - to cover Australia and Asia.

Chris continually strives to define new boundaries in architectural visions for individual projects, as well as city and urban spaces.

His work on the Watercube Swimming Centre in Beijing (whilst at PTW) received the prestigious Atmosphere Award at the 9th Annual Venice Biennale. He was also recently recognised as an emerging architect on the world stage, by RIBA London (Royal Institute of British Architects).

LAVA was the 2016 Laureate of the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

LAVA and Designfocus have formed a partnership that combines the talents, visions and strengths of the individual companies and launch a new entity into the Architectural and Design marketplace, with the aim of supplying the next generation of Architecture and Design solutions, for residential, commercial, retail and hospitality projects.
